DO YOU HAVE HIGH STAFF TURNOVER?
Our industry is inherently high turnover, but our high level of communication and close contact with our staff helps to create an enjoyable workplace promoting high cleaning standards and staff continuity.
DO YOU VET YOUR STAFF?
Yes we are registered with an Umbrella CRB Agency and can easily provide "Enhanced CRB checking". Our standard employment procedure is very stringent and is in excess with that required by law, as follows:
1. All applicants must complete the Xenon Services application form and are given a starting slip and Contract of Employment. Satisfactory references regarding past employment must be produced. These are checked by telephone and followed up by a letter where possible.
2. The employee must provide identification in accordance with the current legislation. A documented National Insurance is acceptable.
3. Applicants must certify that there is no legal restriction that prohibits their employment in the U.K. This will be achieved by taking a photocopy (which will be retained on the individuals personnel file at Head Office) of either:
- a) A properly documented National Insurance Number from a P45, P60, N.I. Card.
- b) A U.K. or E.E.C. birth certificate (including appropriate registration number).
- c) An E.E.C. National Identity Card.
- d) A U.K. or E.E.C. Passport.
- e) An original letter from the Home Office.
- f) Details are required of a bank or building society account for direct BACS payment.
DO YOU PAY YOUR CLEANING STAFF MINIMUM WAGE OR CASH?
In order to attract high calibre staff it is important to pay a realistic wage. We prefer not to pay the minimum wage as we believe that this will produce a more transient workforce. It is inherent in any industry utilising casual labour that the remuneration system is open to abuse, so we therefore only pay our employees via the BACS system directly into their Bank or Building Society account.
ARE YOUR CONSUMABLES MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS?
Yes - Xenon Services are committed to the conservation of the environment and our core cleaning products are 100% biodegradable, environmentally-friendly products carrying "The European Eco-Label".
WHATS COVERED IN THE PRICE YOU QUOTE?
This may vary according to client requirement. Typically our charge would include labour costs Employers NI, Holiday pay, insurance, management, all necessary equipment and environmentally friendly cleaning materials required to carry out the cleaning operation.
